This is a great motorcycle spin from Hollyhead to Laragh in Wicklow.

  • Take the N81 out of Dubin (also a good road for a spin).

    The road is generally in adverage to good condition but the layout is excellent - windy mountain roads!
  • Straight through Blessington.
  • At Hollywood turn left at an Emo garage.
  • Enjoy the next 25kms of the Wicklow Gap to Laragh.

 


 In Laragh there's a few cafes and pubs which are all biker friendly. It's a really popular spot year round as most roads in and out of it are fairly enjoyable.

 

Tip: my friend Mick tells me that you should "pay extra attention to loose sheep on the roads there. They can be crazy little buggers up that way." - take what you want from that tip:)

I received some footage from a customer whom had just bought a helmet camera from me. It's of a guy riding a GSXR1000 across the Wicklow Gap from Laragh to the N81. This footage was taken using the GoPro helmet cameras which we sell HERE.

 

The guy who sent me this footage said he used the GoPro HD HERO 960p camera with standard mount kit.
