You may have noticed on the back of your Irish full car licence that you have an AM category activated and wondered; What does the AM category mean?

If your full car license was issued in 2006 or before you will automatically have this AM category.

This means you are entitled to ride a 49cc automatic scooter, 49cc electric scooter or 49cc manual scooter.
